No Corrections Allowed on Cheque from 1st July 2010 or get charged

 

Dear All, 

 

While you may be aware of the above announcement, just thought of mentioning  to you that effective 1st July 2010 - cheques with alterations or corrections to amount and payee name will not get cleared by Banks.    Please communicate the above to your team members.

Meaning: Effective 1st of July 2010, it is wise to issue a new cheque if in case u have to make any corrections in the cheque that you just wrote 

!!!!!!U SHOULD ISSUE A NEW CHEQUE INSTEAD of correcting it....!!!!!

cost of a cheque is far too less as compared to the penalty imposed by banks for cheques bouncing...
